DMP U16s produced a performance to remember last week as they lifted the County Plate in emphatic style, powering to a 52–0 victory over Bishop Auckland.
The final, held at Consett RFC, saw the U16s put on a show-stopping display from the opening whistle. From the very start, DMP set the tone with relentless intensity, clinical execution, and outstanding teamwork, leaving no doubt about their intentions on the day.
Throughout the tournament, the squad had looked sharp and confident, but they saved their best performance for the final. Strong defence shut down every Bishop Auckland attack, while slick handling, intelligent kicking, and powerful running turned pressure into points time and time again.
The 52–0 scoreline was a true reflection of DMP’s dominance, underlining just how impressive the team has been across the entire competition. Every player contributed, with discipline, work rate, and commitment shining through in all areas of the pitch.
This victory is a huge achievement for the players and coaching staff alike and a testament to the hard work put in week after week on the training ground. The County Plate now sits proudly with DMP U16s—and on this evidence, it certainly won’t be the last piece of silverware this talented group challenges for.
Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic tournament and a memorable final performance.
