With a hint of warmth in the air & the boys & Brigid arriving full of enthusiasm, Joshua even said he had "too much energy" we were ready for a good day. When it was confirmed that Durham RFC had no U7's with them, as was anticipated on the fixture list we thought that we may be playing against ourselves, thankfully, Durham U8's stepped up to fill the gap, so games commenced with our hosts Stockton U7's playing squad 1 Aodan, Tom, Euan, Joseph, Matthew & Brigid & squad 2 Owen, Bruno, Joshua, Freddie & Seth took on the challenge of Durham U8s.
By noon, both Mowden Teams had played against, what will be, a taste of next years standard. The impression from the sidelines was encouraging, to say the least and plaudits go to all players for stepping up, which shows how much improvement has been made over the winter months. A massive well done to all!
Player of the week went to Matthew for a blistering full length of the pitch run, against Durham, to touch down in the corner.
Once again appreciation and thanks for being involved in and facilitating another enjoyable morning of Tag.
Training next week so 10am start at the Arena.
