DMP U8s were fantastic against Westoe. Two teams took turns. Tries were scored by James Dryden (3), Danny Wild (2), Harry Lishman (2), Arthur Watson, William Chalmers and Ellie Pounds. Most impressive was the way the team defended the first time they have played 6 tackle turnover. They understood the principles even if they didn’t always execute them perfectly. James, Harry and Danny had restrictions out on their try scoring and the team still held their own. Faith had a debut of wizard tagging. The men of the match were Thomas Gilbert and Oliver Anderson. When they had the ball they always went forward and made ground. A special mention for James Dryden who captained one team and vice captained the other. He shared his knowledge with the team members helping everyone develop. keep to up James.
Next week is training at 10 am at the stadium. Keep watching this space as the pitches took a battering today!
