Mowden Tag Festival - U8s Report

Not a match report as such, don't think it would be possible to collect in all the stats and scores, but more of a highlights reel and to say thank you, to each child that ran proudly out in a Mowden shirt today, and to every parent that stood and cheered the teams on, you remember those days when nothing came together? Well today was the opposite.

We had two teams entered, and whilst we're biased, they shone, they out tagged, out ran, out passed, and out scored their opposition. Best yet, the support play throughout the team was sensational, for every player that scored a try there was one or two more on their shoulder ready and waiting to play their part. The tagging was ferocious, constantly taking teams to turnover or forcing mistakes from the pressure we put them under, a 6 tries to nil victory against Billingham was just one of the highlights, as was a victory by a one try margin over a very physical Westoe who looked to have started training for contact already!

Everything that was thrown at them they absorbed, reacted to, and excelled in response. Even their fitness and enthusiasm, with one team playing 7 games, the sun shining and the pace high, they kept on going and outran the opposition.
