You always know you can be proud of your squad and it's support when the opposition coach declares 'are they all yours?', a brilliant turn out with enough to run two teams at this level, and a couple of new starters too. This gave us the welcome challenge of making sure everyone got game time.
We ended up running 4x10 minute games (felt like 20 minutes when you where into the wind though, good job we don't kick at this level!), which ended up as an aggregate win over all, but to their credit Sunderland were really picking up the skill level as the morning progressed, all the more impressive as they'd have done a lot more running than us.
However, whilst we still have some work to do in terms of defence (I'm being harsh as we still managed to take them to turnover on a number of occasions) our attacking and support play was excellent. It almost became the norm that as a player went into the tag there was someone right on the shoulder to take a simple ball and continue the run up field.
Looking forward to an away trip to Bishop Auckland next weekend
