The first game got off to a competitive start with Westoe first testing the Mowden defence in the wet conditions, Mowden held strong with tackles from Regan and Lyle to turn over the ball.
Now with ball in hand Mowden worked it well down the line to Will Todd who picked up the pass and found space to break through the opposition to score the first try. From the restart Mowden's lack of concentration let them down as Westoe broke through a slack defence to equalise before half time.
The second half again was very competitive with Mowden taking the lead through a mazy run from Will Todd after some strong defensive work from William H and Jack. Westoe were soon level and the game finished with both teams sharing the spoils. (2-2)

The second game saw Westoe make some changes as Mowden's die hard 7 looked to improve on their first game. Mowden were much sharper in this encounter as Matthew and Stephen pushed forward allowing space for Will to notch up another 3 tries, some great tackling from Regan and Lyle again turning over the ball and couple of last ditch tackles from Will to see Mowden through to a 3-1 victory.

The third and final game saw a very tired Mowden put in a gutsy performance with some strong running and good link up play from Matthew.
Stephen and Lyle also put in a couple of determined runs again making space for Will to find the gaps and convert the forward running into tries. Mowden's passing was improving as they worked the ball to the wide areas to allow Will to finish off some great moves. Westoe finished strong in this game but a determined Mowden kept Westoe at bay, Mowden finished 4-3 winners.

Mowden came away scoring 9 tries to 6, their passing was great today, and their defensive play was gutsy when called into action.
Lyle, Regan and Will put in some great tackles today, but more is needed from the whole team to close down the opposition.
William and Jack fed the ball well along the line as Matthew and Stephen ran well with ball in hand. Try machine: 9
Overall a good performance against a well organised Westoe.
