The boys travelled to Penrith for their second game of the season. We started very slowly and struggled to get any momentum in the forwards.
We fell behind to a good Penrith side that contained some big strong players, but huge credit goes to the lads for fighting back to take the win with the last play of the match.
Jasper Metcalfe again scored 2 tries from the wing. Fergus Hewitson scored from full back after the break and Dan Edwards and Callum Piert combined well down the left wing for Callum to score in the dying seconds.
George Spink had a fine game in the loose, and reminded us all that forwards should only ever kick each other and not the ball.
Many thanks to all of the parents for making the long trip to Penrith.
Next week we are playing at Yarm in the County Cup first round.
