The U13's travelled to Leyburn to take on Wensleydale in their first game of the season. This was their first time at 15-a-side and on a full size pitch.
The boys started steadily but soon got up to speed. With our four debutants, Joe Lerner, Adam Brown, Ben Cooper and Liam Slater all playing an important part in proceedings the final score was 7:22. Tries being scored by Jasper Metcalfe (x2), George Spink and Matthew Chapman.
Wensleydale scored through former Mowden boy Ben Taylor, with his Dad refereeing the game. Peter did well despite struggling to keep up with play.
