Darlington Mowden Park RFC can confirm that Harry Yates has signed for Ealing Trailfinders with immediate effect. The 22 year-old joins Ealing with six games remaining in the Championship season, having impressed for DMP since joining the club in the summer.
Speaking about the move, Yates said: “It’s always sad moving on, so a massive thank you to everyone at the club for providing a brilliant environment to play and enjoy National 1 rugby. I’ve enjoyed every minute with the boys and know there are good things ahead for Darlington Mowden Park.”
After graduating from Northumbria University, Yates joined DMP in pre-season and quickly established himself as a regular starter in the centres. He leaves the club having made 18 appearances this season, scoring 14 tries in the process.
DMP Director of Rugby Garry Law said: “It’s great for Harry and thoroughly deserved. He has been a pivotal player this season and gave us a different attacking threat in the backline. It’s great to see that this has been recognised by a club like Ealing. I'm sure that he will make his mark if given the chance.”
On behalf of everyone at the club we’d like to thank Harry for his efforts in a DMP shirt this season, and wish him the very best for the future.
