With pre-season preparations well underway at Mowden Park, August is set to be a busy month both on and off the pitch. Wednesday 2nd August sees us host two Army rugby league sides as the Light Dragoons take on the Royal Dragoon Guards in the Yorkshire Cup (3pm Kick Off). The next big event in the DMP calendar is Luke's Dawn 'til Dusk Rugby Day on Saturday 12th August. Starting at 8am and running through to 8pm, the event will see teams from across the region come together to raise money for Luke Bell as he battles High Risk Neuroblastoma. The next day on Sunday 13th August we'll be showing England's opening game of the Women's Rugby World Cup in the CrossBar (2.30pm Kick Off). All of these events in the first half of August are absolutely FREE to attend.

The second half of August sees DMP 1st XV host Heriot's in a pre-season game at the Arena on Saturday 19th August (2pm Kick Off). You can see the game against the 5 time Scottish champions for just £2 per adult and kids go FREE! The following Monday 21st August is our Inner Warrior Pitch to Pub night. Women and girls are all welcome to attend the FREE session, with any new members getting a free drink in the bar after training.

The Women's World Cup concludes on Saturday 26th August, with the final kicking off at 7.45 LIVE in the CrossBar. The next week is community week, with Rugrats Rugby on Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th August, and Mini's & Juniors on Tuesday 29th August - Thursday 31st August. Our August concludes with our inaugural Shoot Day at Headlam Hall, in association with Barbour, Stratstone Land Rover and JC Marsh on Thursday 31st August. There are limited places left on our shoot day so get in touch if you'd like to enter a team. Details of all these events can be found below.
