TEAM NEWS - Mowden Park v Rotherham Titans

Tom Bulmer

Mowden make 2 changes for Saturday's home game against Rotherham (3pm Kick Off).

DMP head coach Garry Law has named his 20 man squad for Saturday's National One contest against Rotherham Titans at the Arena. He makes just 2 changes to the side that lost narrowly on the road to Cinderford last week.

The only change in the pack sees German prop Jonas Humbert come in for his first DMP start at tighthead, joining Conrad Cade and Joe Duffy in the front row. The move sees Talite Vaioleti shift into the second row alongside Joe Craggs, while Stokes, Mackenzie and Hodgson all continue in the back row.

In the backs, there's a welcome return for full back Paul Jarvis, who starts after coming off the bench last weekend. He joins Brandon Asher-Wood and Ollie Walker in the back 3, behind an unchanged centre pairing of Ben Dixon and Ben Frankland. Euan McKirdy and Warren Seals continue at 9 and 10 respectively.

One the bench, there's forward cover from Scott Westwood and the dual registered duo of Tom Marshall and Guy Graham. Garry Law and Chris McTurk provide further options across the back line.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's home game, Head Coach Law commented: "We've reviewed last week's game against Cinderford and everyone is in agreement that it was some very small and basic errors that let us down and in the end cost us coming away with what would have been a very good win."

"We all know how attritional National One is; we are now in another week with different opponent and a chance for the players go out and show a truer representation of themselves individually and as a team. Undoubtedly there was some brilliant phases in last week's game and it's these aspects that we will be trying portray for longer periods v Rotherham."

Asked about the challenge he was expecting from his former side, Law added: "We know that with the position that Rotherham are in and how proud a South Yorkshire club they are that tomorrow promises to be a full blooded affair with every inch being fought extremely hard for."

"The squad hasn't changed massively over the last few weeks, mainly due to a lengthy injury list to a lot of regulars which has meant my retirement has been put on pause.
Tomorrow sees a first start to Jonas Humbert at tighthead and we also see the welcome return of Paul Jarvis at full back. I'm sure we will see Paul's experience and quality start to rub off on our performances"

"The lads are itching to be back at home and put in a big performance and get the much wanted W. I hope we can get as many of the Mowden faithful cheering the team on."
