DMP Sharks Duo To Take On England on Sunday 2nd June at Twickenham.

Tamara Taylor and Heather Kerr have both been selected to represented the Barbarians against England on a Quilter International double header on Sunday 2nd June at Twickenham. The game will be the Baba's 2nd ever international test, after their 34-33 victory over the USA in Denver last month.

The news also comes as both players have extended their stay at the Sharks by re-signing for the 2019/20 Premier 15s season.

Taylor will be making her Barbarians debut in the double header, after making 115 international appearances for England. Reacting to the news of her call up, Taylor commented: "I've grown up watching the Barbarians rugby team on TV, always thrilled by the way they come together as a squad and play with freedom and enjoyment... so to be given the opportunity to play for them, and represent that brand of rugby, and the legends that have played in the shirt before me, is an absolute dream come true."

Looking ahead to the upcoming Premier 15s season, Taylor added: "I have had a difficult season, only getting back on the pitch at the end of January after ankle surgery in June last year, so am looking forward to getting my boots on right from the start of pre season, and getting back into the mix with the DMP Sharks girls for the 2019-20 season."

Fellow Shark Heather Kerr will be making her second Barbarians appearance after making her debut in Denver last month. With 16 caps for England to her name, Kerr was looking forward to her latest challenge on the international stage: "Being selected for the Barbarians first international test was a complete honour so to be selected again to play England at our home ground is just a phenomenal opportunity to put on that black and white shirt again. It’s an incredible accolade, and playing with the best rugby players in the world is completely unreal, they are such inspirational women."

After extending her stay with the Sharks, Kerr was equally excited for the upcoming Premier 15s campaign: "I’m also really looking forward to next year, another season with Sharks with some new faces in the mix, so pretty exciting times to come."
