Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce the return of Matty Siddle for the 2023/24 National One campaign. The front rower returns to the club having spent last season on loan at Blaydon in National Two North. Asked about coming back to the Arena, he said: "Having played Colts rugby at Mowden Park, I am delighted to rejoin the club after a loan period at Blaydon and am looking forward to push for a place in the first team."

The 20 year-old prop returns to DMP having come through the club's junior setup, after representing the Newcastle Falcons Academy and Northumberland U20s. Last season he was a regular in the Blaydon front row, missing only a handful of games all year.

Asked about the latest addition to the squad, DMP Forwards Coach Joe Cain added: "Siddle has gained some valuable experience last season after a great year in Nat 2 with Blaydon. Being a home grown Mowden lad it’s great to see his progression over the last few seasons and I’m looking forward to seeing him put on a first team shirt."
