USA International Rounds Off Busy Week Of Signings

DMP Sharks are delighted to announce the signing of Rachel Ehrecke for the remainder of the 2022/23 season. The 27 year-old becomes the sixth new arrival of the year, joining fellow USA Eagles Olivia Ortiz, Tess Feury, Meya Bizer and Kathryn Treder. Asked about making the move to the UK, the back row forward said: "I’m very excited to join the team this season and grateful for the opportunity to play alongside the Sharks. Looking forward to to the new experiences and growing with the team!"

After progressing through the USA age group ranks, Ehrecke made her full debut for the Eagles against Canada in 2021 and has gone on to make 3 appearances for the national team. After arriving in the UK earlier this week, Ehrecke has already linked up with her new teammates and will be available for selection for next weekend's trip to Loughborough. Speaking about the latest international addition to the Sharks ranks, Performance Manager Mark Luffman added: "We're thrilled to welcome another USA Eagle to the Sharks squad. Rachel will bring a real physicality to our back row in an area which is becoming a big strength for us. All of the USA girls have brought a great worth ethic to training already and I'm excited to see them all out on the field over the coming weeks and months."

You can see the Sharks in action this weekend when they take on Worcester in a 3pm kick off at the Darlington Arena. Entry to Saturday’s game is free of charge for all spectators, click here to find out more.
