The DMP Sharks squad continues to grow with the addition of hooker Elis Martin for the remainder of the Premier 15s season. The Scottish international becomes the third new arrival of the week, following USA Eagles Olivia Ortiz and Tess Feury. Speaking ahead of her move to the North East side, Martin said: "I’m really excited to be joining DMP for the remainder of the season. I’ve heard great things about the coaching and the players so can’t wait to get going!"

Martin made her full international debut for Scotland in August against USA, taking on a couple of her new teammates in the process. The 23 year-old had previously progressed through the Scottish age group ranks, including an appearance for Scotland Futures against England U20s at the Arena last year. Asked about bringing in the Scottish international, Performance Manager Mark Luffman added: “Another player with international experience, we’re delighted to bring Elis into the Sharks squad. We’ve been really impressed with her skill set and I’m looking forward to seeing her compete in the Premier 15s.”

“With the new girls coming in we’re really starting to see some healthy competition for places which can only be a good thing for the squad going forward.”
