I have really enjoyed my time at the club so will hopefully continue to do that.

Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce that fly half Warren Seals has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2019/20 season. The South African has been ever-present for DMP this season, scoring 174 points across his 22 appearances so far. DMP Head Coach Garry Law was thrilled that Seals had chosen to extend his stay at the Arena: "We're really pleased that Warren is staying with us for another season. He plays a pivotal part in the team on a matchday and in the squad as a whole. Generally when Warren plays well and gets his game going, the team generally plays well and we end up getting a positive result from it."

"It's huge for us that he's staying again and it shows the consistency in retaining the squad going forward. We're looking forward to another strong season from Warren."

Slotting in at either 10 or 12, Seals has proven to be a key figure for Mowden over the years with 66 appearances and over 450 points over his two spells at the club. On his time so far at the club, Seals commented: “I have really enjoyed my time at the club so will hopefully continue to do that.”

The 27 year-old first joined the club in November 2015, scoring a try in his debut against Richmond. He has since had spells with Championship side Yorkshire Carnegie, before returning to the club in 2017. "Asked about his highlights of the current season, Seals said: “There have been a few good highlights for different reasons throughout the season. I think the home win against Old Elthamians was a turning point and where we really started to see performances put together. The last-minute win down at Rosslyn Park was another highlight for me.”

His Stellar performances in last years promotion push and for Durham County in the county championship, secured him a spot on the England Counties Tour to Romania alongside fellow teammate Ollie Hodgson. Seals joins Hodgson in re-signing for next season, and the South African had high hopes for the 2019/20 campaign. “We want to win the league. The prospects and potential of the rugby club going into next season are exciting. We have retained a number of key players and are keen to build on our team environment.”

“Personally, I would like to put together a number of consistent performances, win as many games and score as many points possible.”

You can see Warren and his DMP teammates in action this Saturday against Ampthill in a 3pm kick off at the Northern Echo Arena. Tickets for the game are available on the day priced at £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and FREE for U16s.
