Lawrence Mason becomes the latest arrival at the Arena having signed for the 2023/24 season. The 22 year-old hooker joins having spent last season at Championship side London Scottish, and has already linked up with DMP's pre-season preparations ahead of the new campaign.

Speaking ahead of his move to Mowden, Mason said: "I'm really excited to be back playing rugby in the North after my stint in London. I'm looking forward to integrating within the team, and playing Mowden’s exciting brand of rugby."

Mason becomes Mowden's 10th new signing of the summer, bringing further quality to the DMP pack. Able to cover both hooker and back row, the Yorkshire Academy graduate moves to the club after spells with Llanelli, Ealing Trailfinders and London Scottish.

Asked about the newest addition to the Mowden squad, Forwards Coach Joe Cain commented: "Lawrence has made a good impression so far and is someone who I know will be pushing hard through pre-season to be challenging for a start. We're looking forward to working with him throughout the year."
