Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Holgate, who joins the club ahead of this weekend’s Forces Day clash with Sedgley Park. The former Jersey Reds centre will link up with his new teammates this week, and was excited to get started: “I’m very excited to be joining DMP and looking forward to seeing the progression of this team throughout the season!”

The 26 year-old brings further quality to the DMP back line, having previously represented the Bulls and Boland Cavaliers in his native South Africa. Holgate also enjoyed a spell in Russia prior to his move to the UK, and has gone on to amass over 40 appearances for Championship side Jersey over the last 2 seasons.

Asked about the latest addition to the squad, DMP Director of Rugby Garry Law added: “We’re really pleased to have Jordan come on board. He has great pedigree and will add significant strength to the backline. We have picked up a few key injuries of late in the backline so his arrival is very timely.”
