Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce their first new signing of the summer as Ethan Hall-Lyon joins the club ahead of the 2024/25 season. The 23 year-old back rower has already linked up with his new teammates in training, and was looking forward to the season ahead: "I’m excited to join DMP for the 24/25 season, the lads are great and I’m excited to play alongside them. I’m also eager for challenge of playing National 1 league rugby for the first time."

Hall-Lyon joins the club from National Two North side Fylde, having previously represented Blaydon during his time at Newcastle University. Asked about the latest addition to his pack, DMP Forwards Coach Joe Cain commented: "Ethan joins us after a strong season with Fylde. He’s made a great impression so far through pre season, he’s a strong ball carrier and someone who is prepared to work hard. He’s a fantastic addition to the back row."
