Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce that Dave Fisher has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2021/22 National One season. The back row will head into his fifth full season with the club, having signed from Plymouth in 2016. Looking ahead to another season in the North East, Fisher commented: "Happy to be part of the Mowden Family for another year! Such a great group of lads and excited for what lies ahead."
The South African forward has been an integral part of the squad since joining in 2016, making over 70 appearances in a DMP shirt. Fisher made 13 appearances in the 2019/20 season before the campaign was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, and DMP Director of Rugby Garry Law was thrilled to be retaining Fisher next season: "Really pleased to have Fish sign back up. Since his arrival at DMP he now has a lovely young family and looks very settled in Darlington.
He's had his injury problems in seasons gone but I'm sure this extended break will have done his body the world of good. He's very much in the mould of an old school 6 and just goes around looking to hit anything and everything. A key contributor on the pitch."
Stay tuned for more squad news and updates in the weeks to come as we continue to look forward to the upcoming season!
