Second row Joe Craggs signs on for 2021/22

Darlington Mowden Park are thrilled to announce that Joe Craggs has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2021/22 National One season. The second row, who has made over 100 first team appearances for the club since his debut in 2015, becomes the latest to re-sign ahead of next season's league campaign.

An ever-present for the 1st XV in recent seasons, the 24 year-old has missed only 4 games in the last 3 seasons, making his 100th appearance for the club at just 22. Asked about extending his stay at the Arena, Craggs said: “Excited to see what we can do with a fresh start and a long rest. I can’t wait to get back into seeing the boys and getting back into the CrossBar to see everyone! Live laugh love.”

Director of Rugby Garry Law added: “Joe is a key member of the squad both on and off the pitch. It's great that he is a born and bred Mowden lad, something that we want to see more of within the 1st team. Joe is always a top performer and wears his heart on his sleeve every game.

“His attitude to training is second to none - giving his all in every aspect, something that really drives the standards throughout the squad. Expect Joe to carry on where he left off.”

Stay tuned for more squad news this week as we continue to look ahead to the 2021/22 season!
