We are pleased to announce the National Fostering Agency as one of the Club’s 2014-15 charitable and good cause partners.

Founded in 1995, the NFA works closely with local authorities and UK foster carers to create the best possible opportunities and outcomes for child fostering.

The NFA’s strong belief in the welfare of children is something that is echoed by Mowden Park’s mission statement and has not only resulted in the announced partnership, but also the NFA taking the decision to permanently relocate their North East office to the Northern Echo Arena. The partnership will see the NFA working across a selection of Mowden match days, events and community initiatives.

NFA Team Manager Neil Morris commented: “The National Fostering Agency is delighted to be affiliated with Mowden Park. We hold many of the same values in our shared vision, with children and young people very much at the centre of both our organisations. By forming this partnership we are hoping to build our identity as a leading foster care provider in the North of England.”

Neil went on to say “I have been exceptionally impressed with Mowden Park's holistic approach in growing the Club and Arena, working with local community and national partners alike. We are a national organisation who are keen to develop our endeavours within the North East. Mowden Park, and in particular their community scheme, represents a fantastic vehicle to engage people and subsequently make a difference.’’

Mowden Park Commercial Director Lee Rust commented: “We have been genuinely selective and worked very hard to attract the right kind of organisations to the Arena, and this will continue. Since the NFA relocated here in early 2014 the relationship has gone from strength to strength. This partnership is a great example of how the synergies can work between organisations that have common goals. We are delighted to be involved and are equally excited about the up and coming initiatives that we will be running with the NFA and the positive impacts that these can represent locally.’’
