DMP can confirm the departure of six 1st XV players this summer.

Chris McTurk, Dave Fisher, Josh Crickmay, George Shannon, Ali Ledingham and Matt Minogue leave the squad with our best wishes.

Chris McTurk

Making his debut against Huddersfield in 2012, fullback Chris McTurk has amassed 137 appearances over two spells at the club. A club stalwart for over a decade, Chris retires at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Dave Fisher

Having signed from Plymouth in 2017, forward Dave Fisher has been an integral part of the 1st XV squad over the past five seasons. Missing only a handful of games in his time in the North East, Dave retires with a total of 117 appearances for the club.

Josh Crickmay

Joining the club in 2021, tighthead prop Josh Crickmay has been a mainstay in the DMP pack over the last two seasons. Amassing 44 appearances since signing from Huddersfield, Josh moves on to pastures new for 2023/24.

George Shannon

After signing from Boroughmuir in 2021, hooker George Shannon was a regular in the 1st XV squad in his first season with the club. An unfortunate ankle injury at the end of 2021/22 limited his involvement in this campaign, and George moves on with 27 1st XV appearances to his name.

Ali Ledingham

Having joined the club from Belgian side Dendermonde last summer, versatile back Ali Ledingham has made 17 appearances for DMP this season at both fl half and fullback. Ali leaves the club as he relocates to Ghana over the summer.

Matt Minogue

Another summer 2022 arrival, fly half Matt Minogue amassed 20 appearances for the club this season scoring 179 points in the process. The Australian left the North East following the Taunton game in March, returning to his home country for the Shute Shield season.

On behalf of everyone at the club we thank them all for their contribution to the club & wish them all the best in their next ventures.
