Yorkshire tackle Roses rivals Lancashire at Scarborough RUFC’s Silver Royd HQ on Saturday, 3pm kick-off, and the Darlington Mowden Park man was selected in the White Rose’s 30-man training squad.
Fearn now hopes to make the match squad and admits the prospect of running out in front of his friends and family is one he’s excited about.
“I’m hoping I’ll be in the 22-man squad, it would be up there with the proudest moments in my career,” said Fearn.
“To play at Scarborough RUFC for my county would be amazing, I would be buzzing.
“I am a proud Yorkshireman, and with it being against Lancashire makes it even more of a spectacle.”
Fearn started out with Scarborough RUFC with the under-fives and went on to make two first-team appearances for the club before moving on to turn out for Newcastle Falcons, Bedford Blues, Sale Sharks and now Mowden Park.
“I’m a Scarborough lad, regardless of how long I have been away, so to run out at Silver Royd for Yorkshire would be amazing,” added Fearn.
