This weekend we welcome our old friends Bradford & Bingley RFC, who travel here from their Wagon Lane HQ and we hope their players, officials and supporters enjoy our hospitality.
Probably all at Bradford & Bingley RFC will admit to a strange series of results from their league programme so far, with early victories against Rossendale (home, 35 – 19) and Rochdale (away, 27 – 66) but consecutive defeats against Penrith (home, 15 – 50), Middlesbrough (away, 13 – 6) and Lymm (home, 22 – 41). However, games between our two sides have always been very competitive encounters and it is expected that this weekends game will be no different.
Defeat against league leaders Chester last weekend left the squad pondering a disappointing performance, but one which so easily could have been addressed with the application seen in previous games. It is hoped that this can be rectified forthwith and with that in mind, training has been as vociferous and intense as ever.
Injury to Gavin PAINTER sees Sam ERRINGTON (pictured) return for his first outing of the season, while Matt GOFORTH’S unavailability sees Robin EATOUGH switch to the wing. Todd HARRISON is back in at scrum half, while Charlie SIMPSON-DANIEL moves to the centre position. James KNOX returns to No.8 as Graeme SEDDON has a shoulder injury.
