It was a fantastic weekend of team bonding and celebration for the DMP Ladies, as some of the squad and friends came together to watch the 1st XV defeat Billingham — all from the comfort of a private hospitality box. The occasion provided the perfect opportunity to relax, connect off the pitch, and celebrate what has been an excellent first half of the season.
The DMP Ladies remain unbeaten so far, a testament to the hard work, commitment, and growing unity within the squad. The season has also seen some exciting new faces make an immediate impact. Olivia Hunter and Charley Marchshaw have joined the team and quickly settled in, both contributing strongly on the pitch and becoming valued members of the group.
We have also been proud to welcome our Under 18s players, Faith Tenwick and Grace Gratton, who have stepped up to senior rugby for the first time. Both have embraced the challenge, fitting in seamlessly and playing an important role within the squad. Their development this season has been key, as they continue to build confidence, strengthen team bonds, and develop the skill sets needed to transition into senior contact rugby next season. This progression is an important step as we look ahead to moving into the Women’s Inner Warrior Series.
With both touch and contact squads continuing to grow, these are exciting times for the DMP Ladies. The future is bright as we build depth, develop talent, and strengthen the foundations of the team.
Keep an eye out for further updates and details of our summer activities, including our popular summer touch festival where we’ll be joining forces with the Men’s 2nds and 3rds. There’s plenty more to come — on and off the pitch.
