Fly-half Grant, who has signed a two year deal, will be into his 5th season at the club, featured 13 times last year for Mowden Park scoring over 100 points.

Carlisle born Grant has a growing reputation in the game having played for Ireland U18s as well as Newcastle Falcons ‘A’ team is delighted to commit his future to the club;

“I’m absolutely delighted to sign again. There has been a massive change this year with the lads brought in being a lot more professional.

“I’ve really enjoyed pre-season and I’m looking forward to starting the season.”

Scrum-half Max, who has signed a one year deal with Mowden Park, is also into his 5th year at the club, made 11 appearances last season scoring one try in the 41-12 win over Macclesfield.

Speaking of the signings head coach John Newton said; “We are delighted that both Grant and Max have signed for the coming season.

“Grant’s had a full pre-season, which he’s not done before and it will definitley help him throughout the season.

“He’s an exciting player and we're looking forward to see him terrorising defences. He can cover 10 and 12 and with Garry Law taking him under his wing he can become a top player.

“Max is a talented Rugby Player who can cover anywhere along the back line.

"He is a key member of the squad both on and off the pitch.”
