Lock Talite VAIOLETI, hooker Tom LARDER and centre Craig DOMINIC were all in the starting line-up, when Durham County Senior XV took on their Yorkshire counterparts at Huddersfield RFC's HQ.

Despite losing the game 33 - 12, the Durham side competed well in the first half and with the score at 7 - 7 at oranges, Durham's points coming from a try from skipper Chris WEARMOUTH (Blaydon RFC), the second half was eagerly anticipated.

However, a strong second half performance, during which Yorkshire scored another 4 tries, saw the game escape the Durham side, despite a late rally, where young debutant winger Martin HOPLEY (Billingham RFC) scored the visitors second try.
