DMP 2nd & 3rd XVs Confirmed in New RFU North East League Structure

Darlington Mowden Park RFC are delighted to confirm that both our Senior Men's 2nd XV and 3rd XV will feature in the newly launched RFU North East league structure for the 2026/27 season.

Following confirmation from the RFU, our development sides have been placed in the following divisions:

DMP 2nd XV – North East Counties 2 South (Level 8)
DMP 3rd XV – North East Counties 3 North (Level 9)

The introduction of the new league structure marks a significant and exciting step forward for rugby across the region, providing a clearer pathway for player development and creating more opportunities for competitive rugby at every level of the game.

For DMP, the inclusion of both sides within the structure reflects the club's ongoing commitment to developing players, strengthening squad depth, and providing meaningful rugby opportunities throughout the senior section.

The 2nd XV will take on a number of established clubs from across the South division at Level 8, while the 3rd XV will begin their campaign in the North division at Level 9, where they will look to build on recent progress and continue developing players within a competitive league environment.

This is an exciting moment not only for DMP but for every club involved in the new structure. The changes promise fresh challenges, new rivalries, and greater opportunities for players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters across the North East rugby community.

With anticipation already building for the new season, we look forward to seeing both sides represent the club with pride and making their mark in their respective competitions.

The countdown to the 2026/27 season is officially underway.
