This weekend will see DMP forward Joe Craggs make his 150th league appearance for the club when they travel to Dockham Road in Round 28 of the National One season. Craggs reaches the landmark at the age of just 25, having made his debut in 2015 against Old Albanians. Asked about the significance of reaching the milestone, he commented: “Having been at this club my whole life it’s awesome to have made 150 appearances for the 1st team. Hopefully now we can have a strong end to the season, enjoy our rest and come back better next season!”
Craggs has once again been an integral part of the 1st XV squad this season, leading the team in appearances having started 24 of their 25 league games so far and scoring 3 tries in the process. Since 2017 he has missed just 5 games in as many years, and DMP Director of Rugby Garry Law was pleased to see him reach the milestone at such a young age: “It’s good to see Joe making this landmark number. He massively has age on his side so I'm in no doubts this will be doubled and more in the future.”
“He has managed to get to this number in a relatively quick time mainly based on his consistent performances seeing him establish himself as an ever-present in the side. He is a 100% in all things Mowden and a key part to the squad as a whole.”
On behalf of everyone at DMP we’d like to congratulate Joe on reaching such an impressive milestone, and to thank him for his dedication to the club.
