It was great to welcome Ryton on Sunday. Brian and his team brought the good weather with them. Which gave us plenty of game time and although the sides were evenly matched the day belonged to us - two draws and a win.

Our confidence is growing building on the good personal performances of last week with a greater team performance. Jack and Kieran linking together. Ben Brown and Rhys laying the ball off to each other. James burrowing into ruck and maul to keep or win the ball and then finding Sam or Nick. Ben Lear and Mathew driving into the ruck and moving the ball out. Eoghann holding his position and making some intelligent passing that allows Tibbie on the opposite side of the field to make some brave attacking runs. Ethan solid and fast with ball in hand but quick to regain his feet in defence and get the next tackle. Well done each and everyone.

There’s plenty to feel good about and some work to do. Training Wednesday 18.15 and home to Sunderland on Sunday.
