We had somewhat of a slow start again against our cross town rivals. We were literally stuck in the mud and let Darlington bring their game downhill to us jumping out to a quick 3-0 lead. We picked ourselves up at the half and won the second half going downhill with 4 trys by our try machine Will Todd. We lost the match 6-4 but showed signs of live entering the second match.
The in-between match pep talk hit home and we started off which a display of aggression in the second match with some excellent pressure and tackling by the Lyle and Jack. Our attack then appeared with some beautiful rugby. Several straight runs through the middle by Will Hickerson started a pattern followed by Mason, Steven, Brook and Lyle. Jack and Matthew chipped in with some nice passing linking to Will Todd for four more trys and one each by Lyle and Will Hickerson. A great result of 6-4 to us sent us home 10-10 on the day.
A solid finish after a lacklustre start provided us with a fair result to a wet and muddy day.
