DMP V Houghton

First half
From the kick off DMP press forward securing a scrum at the Houghton 22 who in turn show resilience in defence to win the turn and clear their lines. For a while DMP keep Houghton pinned back until a break results in Houghton applying forward pressure of their own and being awarded a penalty to secure the first points of the game 3-0 Houghton.
On the restart DMP are penalised and are down to 14 for 10 mins. DMP up the tempo and pin Houghton back following a great kick to touch from Sam Berry. The DMP boys up to the Houghton 5m line secure line out ball falling into the hand of Lyle G to go over for the try. 5-3 DMP.
Back to a squad of 15 DMP maintain the pressure and show good hands moving the ball out to the wing and into the hands of Sol K who demonstrates strong and fast running to go over for the try. 10-3 DMP.

Second half
From the kick off both sides contest really well for possession with Houghton slowly pushing DMP back over and eventually scoring the try. 10-8 DMP game on !!
DMP up their intensity with Sam Berry and Harry Wilson working really hard at the breakdown and again good hands from the DMP boys seeing quick ball moving out to Sol K for another strong run and try. 15-8 DMP.
Houghton show resilience and after multiple phases strike back with their own try along with the conversion 15-15.
Houghton with their heads up go over to score once again taking the lead 22-15.
DMP up the gas and form the attacking platform through the good work at the breakdown from Harry W and good hands again moving quick ball to Sol K to score his third try of the game converted by Ben T. 22-22.
At this point in the game both teams are showing real spirit and determination to win. Houghton are awarded a penalty for the lead with 10 mins remaining 25-22
DMP like before set up the attack through strong forward running banging the Houghton forwards backward and once again quick ball to Sol K to score his 4th try of the game converted by Ben T 29-25 DMP.
With only minutes left the DMP boys heads are up and close the game with Ollie Bail showing and going with a great run for the try. Converted by Sam B to finish the score at 36-25 DMP.
