Another great display by the under 16s even if they were on the wrong end of the scoreline. A good set of players from Middlesbrough, one of them could even have had some seasonal work if he had dyed his beard white, were put to the sword in spells of this game by the boys in blue and white. There was some good flowing rugby, the back line being joined up by the renowned backs merchant Tom Freary on more than one occasion and across the park all fifteen players were putting a shift in. The highlights of the game were the two tries, one in each half from Andrew West and Ross Boddy. Similar efforts in that they required good team work but also powerful determination to cross the whitewash. The signs are definitely looking good for the New Year and in particular the next round of the plate against Westoe at the end of January.
Congratulations to Middlesbrough players, coaches and supporters on a deserved victory.
Well done to all of our boys and here's looking forward to 2015.
Motm - Tom F...he was everywhere!
