U16s - Strictly come Try scoring

A dress rehearsal for the new year plate meeting between these two teams gave the boys much hope for a reversal in scoreline come January. The pitch was extremely heavy underfoot and certainly did nothing to help our forwards or the speed merchants in the banks, local knowledge was probably the deciding factor in what was a close fought affair.

The game was lit up in the second half by Ross B who scored an excellent solo try, it would definitely have been a 10 from Len!
Ross received the ball on halfway and side stepped, quick stepped, heel turned, shimmied his way to the try line, past half a dozen defenders and between the sticks. This complemented his first half effort, both of which were converted.

The performance was a distinct improvement on the Guisborough game and the boys have every opportunity of making progress in the plate on the next meeting between these two teams.
