Tynedale - V - DMPRFC U16s
Following a sizeable defeat at the hands of the DMP First team the previous weekend, it was evident Tynedaie U16s entered the field of play focused on revenge.
Despite a slow start by DMP,Josh Brown ( Captain) led by example with numerous crunching tackles, a theme which ran the entire length of the match.
Tynedale had to wait until the 9th minute before DMP U16s conceded their first try, through poor defending.
DMP rallied and had a few flurries of linked play, the scrummaging improved dramatically just prior to half time, with
some individual play highlighting the passion and desire to want to win.
Chris Potter and his captain, subsequent man of the match, worked hard and were consistent with their outstanding tackling
At half time, Tynedale took their oranges 33 - 0 ahead.

The second half DMP kicked off and came out with some fire in their bellies, there was some terrific flowing linked play, Marcus Hunton charging up the field of play and the ball making its way out to the wing, the team appeared to switch on.
After conceding two try's in close succession again DMP U16 dug in and had their best period of play in the game thus far.
A good period of rucking and mauling, Josh Brown broke loose and teamed up with Danny W and James S, leading to a penalty and subsequent line out.
Marcus plucked the ball from the air, with grace not to dissimilar than that of a gazelle plucking a newly sprouting bud from a high branch of the Umbogo tree on the Serengeti .........the ball was presented well, however the lack of communication to warn the line out was next to the touch line, Tynedale were quick to drive the DMP pack out of play!
Tynedale scored a further 2 try's before in the 30th minute of the second half Ross put his name on the DMP U16s score sheet.
This try seemed to give DMP the injection of spirit they had been sadly lacking and a further 2 try's were scored by James and Matty.
Final score 60 - 17
DMP man of the match - Josh Brown
Dolly award - Andrew West.
