Darlington Mowden Park are pleased to announce the contract extension of second row Talite Vaioleti for the 2019/20 National One season. Arriving in 2013 from Jersey Reds, fan favourite “Vee” has made over 100 appearances and scored 14 tries in his time with the club since his debut against Macclesfield on 7th September 2013.

The Tongan lock has brought his international experience and pedigree to Mowden, after stints in the championship with the Jersey Reds and Rotherham Titans. As well as having represented Tonga at international level, Vaioleti has also selected for the Barbarians to play at Twickenham where he scored 2 tries. Vee has been at the heart of everything this season, only missing a single game and has had a short stint at tighthead prop!

On re-signing Vee spoke about his time at Mowden “I am going into my 7th season and I enjoy playing my rugby here at DMP. We’ve got a great bunch of lads and a good set up here and I’m really happy to be here.” Vee also commented on his ambitions for next year “I’m looking forward to 2019/20, its going to be a different season. Just bring it!”
