Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce that Tristan Grant has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2019/20 National One season. The 20 year-old signed for the club last summer, having previously represented Tynedale and the Newcastle Falcons Academy. Speaking after signing his new deal, Grant commented: “The support network is great. The coaches and senior players have already helped with my development so I was glad to keep it going with them next season.”

The young prop has had a difficult season with injury, having sustained a serious shoulder injury in early September. Asked about the challenges of the season so far, Grant added: “It’s been very frustrating. I managed to get back training at start of this month thanks to Rob Rudland (Club Physio) but my shoulder still wasn't 100%. I’m looking to use pre-season to make sure my shoulder is ready for the 2019/2020 season.”

“I’m hoping to use the frustration from the injury to go into next season strong and make up for the lost time. Also to help my team reach our goals to the best of my ability.”
