A look ahead to this weekend's National One trip to Plymouth Albion (3pm Kick Off).

Darlington Mowden Park face their longest away trip of the season this weekend as they travel to Brickfields to face Plymouth Albion. Saturday's hosts currently sit 1 place below Mowden in 8th spot in the National One table. They trail Mowden by just 5 points, having won the same number of games (12) so far this season. 8 of those wins have come at home, and the Devon side are unbeaten in their last 5 games at Brickfields. Their try scoring this season has been dominated by the forwards; leading the way is hooker Jamie Salter with 7, followed by back rowers Paul Davis and George Mills on 6. Full back Matt Shepherd is their top points scorer with 112.

Plymouth will be looking for a response after coming off 2nd best to league leaders Old Elthamians 40-29 last week. Mowden meanwhile held off a resurgent Esher side after a dominant 1st half performance to win 24-17 and will be looking to continue their push for a top 4 finish.

Last time these teams met was a tightly fought win for Mowden Park on Armed Forces Day, coming away 22-19 winners. Tries from Blamire, Mackenzie and Georgiou left Mowden level with time in the red, before a late Warren Seals penalty secured the victory for Danny Brown's side. Mowden's last trip to the South Coast ended in a 34-19 win for the home side back in February 2018. Despite the scores being tied at 7-7 at the half, four second half tries from the hosts ensured they took maximum points.
