A look ahead to Saturday's season finale against Loughborough Students (3pm Kick Off).

This weekend sees Mowden Park travel to Loughborough in their final game of the 2017/18 National One season. Saturday's hosts currently sit in 12th spot, 2 points clear of the relegation zone. The students have enjoyed a purple patch of form in recent weeks, winning their last 3 games to lift themselves out of the bottom 3. Those wins over Esher (A), Bishop's Stortford (H) and Fylde (A) have seen the university side leapfrog Hull Ionians as they look to secure their National One status for next season. Their most recent win at Fylde was an emphatic one, as they crossed for 12 tries in a 33-81 win.

Loughborough have enjoyed the best of their form at home, winning 6 and drawing 1 of their 14 games so far. Their leading points scorer is fly half Owen Waters with 176, with Jack Stapley sitting top of their try table with 14.

A win for Loughborough on Saturday would ensure their safety, while a loss would leave them waiting on results elsewhere with a game in hand to follow. Mowden meanwhile will be hoping to finish the season on a high having secured 2nd spot in last weekend's win over Coventry. This promises to be an entertaining game between two sides in fantastic form.
