DMP’s Garry Law and Joe Craggs visited Darlington’s High Bank Nursery today as part of the club’s Community Scheme.

The players took the time out of their busy schedule to speak to High Bank’s Pre-School children about all things rugby, as well as handing out free community tickets to every child. There was even time for a quick equipment demonstration to give the children a taste of Mowden Park rugby.

Anne Rose, Mowden Park’s Community Manager said: “It was great to visit High Bank Nursery today, hopefully the children in attendance will have been inspired to enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle in future years.”

Today was the club’s first visit to the Nursery as part of their ongoing community programme. Hayley Grainger, High Bank’s Nursery Manger commented: “It was brilliant, the guys were great with the children and the children were engrossed!”

“The children had lots of questions and enjoyed trying on the Rugby shirts and holding the ball. The children all said they wanted to go and watch rugby with their parents and one little girl said “I want to play rugby when I am grown up”.”

“Would just like to say thank you for the visit, the children thoroughly enjoyed it and thank you for the tickets!”
