Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce the signing of Chris McTurk. The winger returns to the club following a short spell at Barnard Castle, having previously played a total of 5 seasons for DMP. Mowden Park DOR Danny Brown was delighted with the signing: “It’s brilliant for us to get Chris back for next season. I’m sure many of our supporters will remember his electric performances in previous seasons. He was our top tryscorer on a few occasions and we hope he will be equally prolific next year.”

McTurk returns to Mowden Park following a mid-table finish for the Darlington side this season, and the winger was excited to be involved next year: “After having a couple of years away from Mowden concentrating on my career I am looking forward to knuckling down and starting pre-season. I have kept in contact with many of the lads and am looking forward to playing with some good mates who I haven't played with in a while. It is a club close to my heart due to memories with some top lads in the past and having been the first club I ever represented so am looking forward to pulling on the shirt again.”

Chris is currently raising money for the Rob Stephenson Trust, which helps provide opportunities for better education and sport for disadvantaged young people. He will be running over 220 miles over four days, the equivalent of over 2 marathons per day.
