Darlington Mowden Park return to the Arena this weekend as they take on Cinderford. Saturday's visitors come into the game in 5th place in the National One table, courtesy of 7 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats so far. The Gloucestershire side are yet to taste defeat at home, with their 2 losses coming on the road at high flying Rosslyn Park and Cambridge. November had seen back-to-back draws for Cinderford, before a narrow 24-22 win over Bishop's Stortford last time out where hooker Nathan Taylor scored all 4 tries.
Last weekend saw Mowden fall to a narrow 34-31 defeat at Sale. A game of two halves saw Garry Law's side lead 12-24 at the break, before a Sale comeback left Mowden with 2 bonus points in defeat. DMP currently sit 3 places behind Cinderford in the table, and will be looking to close that gap with a win this weekend.
Since Cinderford's promotion to National One in 2018, the two sides have met on 6 occasions with Cinderford winning 4 and Mowden the other 2. Their last meeting at the Arena came back in December 2021, with Mowden running out 26-7 winners in their final game before the Christmas break last season.
This weekend's game promises to be another closely fought game between two sides looking to start December on a high. Tickets are available online or on the day, priced at £12 for adults, £8 for club members and FREE for under 16s. You can get your tickets online by clicking here.
