Four DMPRFC players feature for Durham County as they are defeated 38-28 by Leicestershire

Captained by DMPRFC Callum Mackenzie, who ran in three tries, Durham slipped to defeat in the County Championship match.

Having switched from Gateshead Fell to Blaydon, Durham found themselves 28 points down in the first 25 minutes as the visitors ran in four converted tries, two by full back Ian Smith.

The home team struggled to win any ball and missed several tackles, but were allowed back into the game when the visitors made some changes.

Tries by Mackenzie and Durham City full back Arnie Stevenson were converted by fly half Josh Bragman.

Mackenzie added two further second half tries, also converted by Bragman, but Leicestershires fifth try proved decisive.
