As preparations continue for the 2022/23 National One season, we’re delighted to announce that Carl Guest has re-signed with the club. The versatile front rower will go into his second year in the North East, having joined from Hartpury University last summer. Asked about continuing his time with the club, Guest commented: “I’ve really enjoyed my first year at DMP. I’m looking forward to my second season here and hopefully building on last year to finish higher up the table.”

Covering both hooker and prop, the 24 year-old made 24 appearances last season in his first season with the club. Guest book-ended the season with tries, crossing the whitewash in DMP’s first and last home games of the season to take his personal tally to 3 tries for the year. The former Hartpury forward finished the season on a high, playing a part in each of Mowden’s last 10 games.

Guest becomes the latest to re-sign ahead of the 2022/23 season, and Forwards Coach Joe Cain was glad to be retaining his services: “We saw the best of Guesty towards the end of the season and he finished the year really well. With a good pre-season we’re hoping he can push on and start the season strong.”
