Join us on Saturday 11th November for an action-packed Armed Forces Day at the Northern Echo Arena.

Mowden Park will be hosting our very own Armed Forces Day in support of ex and current armed forces personnel. On Saturday 11th November, Mowden 1st XV will play Rosslyn Park in a 2pm kick off, on a busy day at the Arena. This fixture will be aligned with Remembrance Day and will have an armed forces theme running throughout.

Mowden’s Forces Day will help to raise money for a number of Armed Forces Charities who will be in attendance on the day. Both Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion will be at the Arena raising funds for their worthy causes. Look out for the collection buckets, poppies and wrist bands that uniformed members will be carrying around the Arena.

On the pitch, there will be a guard of honour, with pipes and drums playing prior to kick off. We will of course be holding a minutes silence, preceded by a military bugler playing the last post.

There will be plenty of entertainment for all the family pre-match, with features for everyone to explore. Military Vehicles, Capability Exhibits, Kit Stands and Merchandise Stalls will all be on display prior to the 2pm KO, as well as a number of surprises on the day. We will have special guests Hero Bear and Army Bear marching around for the children to meet and get photos with.

Armed Forces and veterans (MOD 90 or Equivalent ID required) will gain FREE access to the game. Simply show your ID at the turnstiles and you will be allowed to watch the game for FREE.

Tickets are priced at u16s: Free, Concession £8, Adults £10; Queenie+ & Queenie Members gain free entry while Club+ Members receive a reduced rate of £8. (Membership Cards must be shown at Turnstile).

PRE-MATCH HOSPITALITY:

We will be hosting a 2 course lunch prior to the game, including guest speakers and entertainment. Ambassadors from Help for Heroes will be joining us, sharing incredible and inspiring life stories from their time in the military. A 2-course meal will be served in one of our luxury hospitality suites, including a carvery with a choice of meats. We are privilaged to be joined by Help for Heroes ambassador Justin Henderson. You can find out more about Justin's inspirational story by clicking here.

The booking deadline for Saturday's meal has now passed.
