A final trip 'to the smoke' for DMPRFC this weekend, as they travel to the capital to the Molesey Road HQ of Esher RFC at Walton-on-Thames.

Esher RFC are currently in 11th place in National League One, with 54 points, winning 9 games and losing 17 games, accumulating 12 try bonus points and 6 losing bonus points in the process.

In the corresponding game at the Arena back in late November 2016, in a 9-try encounter, DMPRFC prevailed by 48 - 31 scoring 6 tries.

Last weekend, Esher RFC recorded their biggest win of the season when they beat Old Albanians RFC 19 - 65, the first time they had ever beaten them away at their Woollam Fields Ground.

DMPRFC lost narrowly last weekend, when National League One Champions Hartpury College RFC visited the Northern Echo Arena.

In total contrast to the 74 - 0 'whitewashing' in their first encounter back in 2016 , DMPRFC were unlucky not to bring Hartpury's unbeaten run to an end, when losing 26 - 34 in a very close encounter at the Arena, matching their opponents, with the result not guaranteed to the winners until the final minutes.

(How far forward were the last two passes of their try just before half time !!)

Adam RADWAN crossed for a brace of tries, with Jamie BARNARD and Garry LAW weighing in with a try a-piece, LAW kicking 3 conversions.

A fantastic effort, enjoyed by a tremendous support on the day.

Still all to play for in the league, even with only 4 games remaining of the 2016/17 season, as DMPRFC endeavour to finish as high up the league as possible.

An entertaining game in store then and no doubt a decent band of travelling supporters, cheering on the 'blue and whites' to the end.
