Mowden Park is now offering the opportunity to young people aged 14+ to work towards the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, starting in October 2014

Mowden Park will firstly be delivering the Bronze level, with the opportunity to complete the Silver and Gold levels in the coming years. The Bronze level requires the young people to cover four activity sections – Physical, Skill, and Volunteering for a minimum of three months, whilst the Expedition element involves undertaking a two day (one night) expedition. Participants must also complete a further three months on either the Physical, Skill or Volunteering sections. Participants will need to commit to at least an hour per week over this time to complete each section.

The cost to participate in this programme is the £16.00 participation fee (to cover the administration, insurance and Award), along with a £50.00 fee to contribute towards the Expedition costs (TBC).
