Head Coach Garry Law has named a 25 man squad for tomorrow’s pre-season friendly against Tynedale (3pm Kick Off).

The lads are very much looking forward to getting out and competing against what will be a very well drilled and energetic Tynedale outfit, and hopefully setting their individual and teams markers down early doors.

Darlington Mowden Park open their pre-season campaign tomorrow against Tynedale at the Northern Echo Arena (back pitches). Head coach Garry Law has named his squad for the fixture, as Mowden continue their preparations ahead of the 2019/20 National One season.

Reflecting on the pre-season preparations so far, Law commented: “We’re very pleased with how pre-season has gone so far. The work ethic and drive the lads have shown throughout has been right up there. The competition for places is going be really big this season and the coaching team has urged to players to develop the in-house competitiveness in every small aspect of what we are doing which has seen the intensity being where we want it. One sour point is we have a few niggling injuries to a couple of the front row lads so we are taken precautions and not fielding them this weekend.”

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s game, Law added: “The lads are very much looking forward to getting out and competing against what will be a very well drilled and energetic Tynedale outfit, and hopefully setting their individual and teams markers down early doors.”
