Saturday's home game to raise money for Type 1 Diabetes Charity.

Darlington Mowden Park can confirm that Saturday's home game against Plymouth Albion will raise funds for Type 1 Diabetes Charity JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). The fundraising is in conjunction with club physiotherapy partners FirstAid4Sport, who have already raised thousands for the charity this year.

The partnership began in February when 7 year-old Max, son of FirstAid4Sport's Michael and Gemma, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Since then they have raised thousands for the charity through sales of their new MAX tape.

“Following our son Max’s TD1 diagnosis in February of this year we set out to raise awareness of Juvenile Diabetes. Max decided he wanted to help raise money for Rufus Bears to help other children on diagnosis. We do this by donating 10% of each roll of MAX Tape we sell straight to the JDRF so far we have raised over £2000 which is enough for 80 Rufus Bears!"

"We are extremely thankful to Darlington Mowden Park for offering one of their Match days as a fundraiser and hope that everyone enjoys what will be a fantastic day full of rugby and at the same time be educated on T1D.” – Gemma & Michael Davison.

Saturday's game will be surrounded by a range of fundraising activity for the charity, including bucket shakes and charity auctions. You can also donate online by clicking here.
